Metadata
From Open Clip Art Library Wiki
Before uploading to the Open Clipart Art Library don't forget to fill out your metadata!
In Inkscape, go to File --> Document Metadata
- Title:
- Name of your image
- Date:
- Date in english format (YYYY-MM-DD)
- Creator:
- Your name or nickname (if you drew the artwork) otherwise, the name of the person who did. If you are registered to the Open Clip Art Library Wiki, try to keep your wiki username close to your artist name so you can be easily reached by your fans via your talk page ;-)
- Rights:
- Click on the License tab and choose Public Domain (remember all artwork in the Open Clip Art Library must be dedicated to the public domain)
- Publisher:
- Type openclipart.org if it is an original drawing that you have created and are submitting to the OCAL
- Identifier: link to the file. (Note: in a database, files may be moved by the administrator. So the best is to place URL of the website)
- Source:
- If you have taken the image from another database, enter this source here (make sure to check the image is in Public domain)
- Contributors:
- If you have modified an existing clipart, place your name here and keep original name of the author in Creator.
Please, don't forget to choose Public Domain and not CC Attribution-Non-Commercial
